2019 Diary: January

Sunday 6 January 2019

Alan and Rita felt they needed a bit of fresh air and some exercise as both suffering from colds, so decided to go in the cemetery on their own so as not to infect anyone else!

They arrived just before midday and concentrated on finishing off the Creedy grave B82 which they left before Christmas with the end kerbs covered to protect from the rain and let the cement set. The covers were taken off and the kerb looks good. Next job to scrub and clean the kerbs to take of the black lichen etc. now looking a lot better, so took a photo to put on the website.

Creedy B82

With a little bit of energy left they decided to cut back some of the overhanging dog roses, brambles and elder branches falling into the cemetery along the back of the houses in Wembdon Road. It wasn't long before a dumpy back had been filled to the brim so this was dragged over to the dumping area and were homeward bound after a gentle stroll around the cemetery to admire the wreaths left on family graves.

The daffodils starting to grow.
